Pool Rules

WE VALUE YOUR SAFETY AND COMFORT!
For your safety, and for the safety of other users, kindly note and adhere to the following guidelines when using our swimming pool facilities:

(A)   ACCESS TO POOL AREA

  1. The pool opening hours are 10:00am to 6:30pm. All swimmers and guests must vacate the pool area before 7:00pm.
  2. All members and guests shall use the pool and attendant facilities, including the parking lot, at their own risk.
  3. No one is allowed in the pool area unless the pool is officially open and a lifeguard is on duty. Entering the pool area when it is not open for public use is prohibited and may be considered as trespass.
  4. All persons entering the pool area must pay the appropriate entry fee or present proof of valid membership.
  5. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
  6. Only swimmers are allowed in the pool area. The only exceptions to this rule are parents/guardians accompanying young swimmers under the age of 13.
  7. Pool users are expected to abide by security measures that may be in place from time to time. For security reasons, all bags are subject to inspection.
  8. The swimming pool area is an alcohol-, drug- and smoke-free zone. Persons with signs of intoxication or under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall not be allowed in the pool area.
  9. No animals or pets are allowed in the pool area.
  10. Members and guests are not permitted to access the pump house and pool equipment area.
  11. Weather may limit the use of the pool and patio area, and the pool may be temporarily closed under conditions of thunderstorms or other adverse weather.
  12. Loitering will not be permitted on the pool grounds or within any of its facilities.
  13. Organized groups must follow our group use policies, and must be directly supervised at poolside by an adult. All groups should schedule their visits in advance.
  14. To protect the privacy of our guests, the use of cameras, video cameras or any device containing camera equipment of any kind (with the exception of security cameras mounted by Maisha for the enhanced safety and security of its guests) is prohibited, unless expressly cleared by the Pool Manager.

(B)   POOL SAFETY

  1. Management shall not be held liable for personal injury or loss of life or property of swimmers.
  2. Swimmers, including experienced ones, are advised never to swim alone at any time.
  3. No diving is allowed on the shallow end of the pool. Extreme caution is advised when diving on the deep end.
  4. All accidents, however minor, are to be reported to the Pool Manager or lifeguard on duty.
  5. Socializing with or distracting pool staff is prohibited.

(C)   POOL HYGIENE

  1. All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
  2. All swimmers must wear proper swimming attire. Street clothes, underwear, vests, gym wear and T-shirts are not permitted as swimwear. Persons with long hair must wear swimming caps.
  3. Children 6 years of age or older must change in the gender-appropriate dressing room.
  4. Persons with open skin abrasions, bandages, infections, colds and other communicable diseases shall not be allowed in the pool.
  5. Spitting, blowing the nose, urinating or otherwise introducing contaminants into the pool is not permitted.

(D)   CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. No profane or abusive language shall be used within the pool area.
  2. No boisterous or rough play, pushing, acrobatics, dunking, wrestling, yelling or jumping without care and caution shall be permitted within the pool area.
  3. Cart wheels, handstands and other such gymnastic activities are prohibited.
  4. No prolonged underwater swimming, competitive or repetitive breath-holding, or hyperventilation is permitted.
  5. Gum chewing is not permitted anywhere in the pool area for health and safety reasons.
  6. Swim toys, balls and the like may be used at the discretion of the supervisor on duty.
  7. Food and drinks shall not be permitted on the pool deck. Use the designated patio area or our adjacent poolside restaurant.
  8. All trash must be picked up and disposed of properly.
  9. Persons in swimming attire should remain within the enclosed pool area. Swimmers leaving the pool area for other parts of the Gardens should dress up in appropriately proper attire.
  10. Costs of damage by members or guests to the pool, fences, gates, amenities, equipment, and other property associated with the pool shall be charged to the said members or guests.

(E)    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. Only Maisha pool staff are authorized to give swimming lessons within our facilities, unless expressly cleared by the Pool Manager.
  2. Swimming instruction for learners should be done in such a way that it does not unnecessarily hinder or disrupt other users of the pool.
  3. The lifeguards are authorized to enforce all pool rules. Please heed their guidance and instructions.
  4. Management reserves the right to remove a swimmer for inappropriate conduct, including but not limited to breach of any of the above rules and regulations.
  5. Whenever additional rules and regulations are deemed necessary for the proper operation of the pool and the protection of the swimmers, the Pool Manager is authorized to issue and enforce such rules and regulations, whether printed or verbal.
