MAISHA!
Maisha is a Swahili word that means “life”. Depending on the context, it may also mean “lifetime”. And the exclamation mark? Well, we like to think of that as representing fullness, completeness, totality.
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10b)
So there you have it: Life, in its fullness, for a lifetime. Maisha!
Maisha is a Christian Campsite, Meeting, Recreation and Adventure Learning Centre. Located on the outskirts of Kampala City, Maisha sits on approximately two acres of land consisting of green fields and plenty of tree shade. The lush and well-maintained gardens offer a warm and welcoming environment to all guests.
The quiet and serene location, with a panoramic view of the major hills surrounding the city, is characterized by the gentle sound of a cool fresh breeze blowing through the numerous trees, punctuated by the singing of a myriad of birds of all colors, shapes and sizes – a truly amazing experience of unspoilt nature so close to the city!
Our services are unique and have been designed with you in mind. We pride ourselves in offering the perfect setting for fun-filled individual, group and family activities such as picnics, camps, retreats, birthday parties, family reunions, barbecues, graduation parties, youth outings, corporate team-building events – you name it, and if it’s fun, decent and uplifting, we’ll host it!
Our expansive terraces and playfields guarantee hours of varied fun and games for all ages, as does our spacious swimming pool.
